i always tell my clients that a title is just like a summary of the article or the email that you want to sent out.
It is just like the” tell me what you do in a sentence”
You will not say something like , i am a facebook marketers, i have 5 years of exeperience blah blah.
You will be like i help businesses to get more clients via facebook marketing . clean , simple and easy to understand.
so , it will be similiar when writing a title that engaiging .
There are alot of rules or formula that you can find out there, but these 5 , are the realy
essense of writing a title that increases sales.
lets LEARN the 5 rules Of Writing a engaging title.
1. Keep it short and sweet.
Email subject lines will get cut off if they’re too long, escpecially on mobile devices.
according to email monday.com ,up to 77% of email opens taking place on mobile, using subject lines with fewer than
50 characters to make sure the people scanning your emails read the entire subject line.
2.Use action-oriented verbs.
If you want people to open and read your email , tell them to do it!
Subject lines are similar to calls-to-action, so use languages to motivate people to click.
It is just like youtuber ask viewers to click on the subscrition button and subscribe to their channel.
So , you need to tell people what you want them to do.
Subject lines that begin with action verbs tend to be a lot more enticing, and your
emails could be drastically more clickable by adding a vibrant verb at the beginning.
for example,”Claim your UNLIMITED free ebook + podcast !”
3. Use Emoji on your title
Swiftpage, a developer of apps for small businesses, conducted their own experiment on the
effectiveness of emails with emojis in the subject letters. Half of the mailing subscribers
were getting emoji messages and the rest, only the text.
The results on emoji messages:
An increase of unique openings by 29%,
An increase of unique click rate by 28%,
CTR increased by 93%.
One of the main reason is Emoji represent emotion . As we learn before , people”s action is closely
related to emotion.
so for example:
Claim your UNLIMITED free ebook & podcast
Your can put a attention emoji at the the very front , to create the urgency of opening
the email or read the article.
And email title that has emoji on it , will stand out more than the rest.
4.No filler words.
With such precious space, don’t waste it with unnecessary words like “hello,”
“nice to meet you,” and “thanks,” which can easily be included in the email’s body.
Get into the point right away.Remember what i told you before , a title is a summary of what you want your reader to read.
5.DON’T USE ALL CAPS or overuse exclamation points!!!
Copy writing is the art of converting words to money . Therefore , different wording which include the size of the
words will present different meaning.
For example “OPEN THIS EMAIL NOW” How do you feel? You feel like someone is yelling at you . Well , i am not going
to open this email.Noone like to be yell at
Second , all capital letters title look so spammy , i am not going to open it either.
In fact, according to a study by the Radicati Group, more than 85% of respondents prefer an all-lowercase subject line to one in all caps.
That is it for now , I will see you on the next lecture.
